A project aimed at strengthening democratic resilience against disinformation through systemic risk analysis, evidence generation and data-driven policy support. The project enhances the capacity of institutional and civil society actors to understand, prevent and respond in a coordinated manner to information manipulation campaigns affecting democratic processes. Maldita.es contributes its expertise in disinformation analysis, applied research and engagement with public decision-makers, supporting the development of recommendations and advocacy materials.

Capacity-building project designed to strengthen European civil society organisations' knowledge and capabilities in policy advocacy against disinformation. Through a series of expert-led training workshops, CASCADE empowers CSOs—including fact-checkers, digital rights groups, and media literacy organisations—with the skills and resources needed to engage effectively in European policy debates on disinformation. The programme includes five thematic sessions covering disinformation regulation fundamentals, platform governance, EU regulatory frameworks, media and disinformation, and policy solutions, followed by an advocacy roundtable fostering cross-border dialogue and collaborative action.
