Through a fact-checking methodology validated by the International Fact-Checking Network and the European Fact-checking Standards Network, our journalistic team develops multi-platform content to debunk disinformation about politics; science; food and health; climate; migration and gender. We also develop research on the disinformation ecosystem that is published in this outlet.
La Dudoteca is a collaborative platform where doubts and expert knowledge meet. If you have a question, a network of experts is willing to help you answer it. Anyone can ask questions and anyone with validated knowledge can answer them. Experts in different disciplines register daily on our platform to help us answer the public's questions.
A space for verified information on social media to fight misinformation on the platforms where young people spend the most time. With videos between 30 and 40 seconds long and clear, direct, simple language, adapted to new narratives and using references from popular culture and the Internet, Factous connects with the youngest audience by providing data and context to the news they see every day so that verified information is more accessible.
Botalite is a technology company based in Spain, wholly owned by the Maldita.es Foundation, that develops automated conversational chatbots for messaging applications focused on fact-checking, media and social organizations. It is an AI-backed tool that builds, strengthens and transforms customers' relationships with their communities.
Our team of data journalists, researchers and OSINT experts monitors disinformation trends and narratives and collects the data and information necessary to develop specific investigations from which solid evidence is extracted on the creation, dissemination and effects of disinformation and influence campaigns (FIMI), including themes, narratives and TTPs of disinformation providers, as well as the role played by other institutional actors.
Our team of educators and pedagogues develops media literacy and pre-bunking strategies to meet the needs of a society that needs to relearn how to consume information. From schools to senior centers, through companies and training for trainers to scale the impact of our actions, our Maldita Educa team develops online and offline training programs to reach the different audiences affected by disinformation.
