How to interpret your electricity bill, how to make household energy consumption more efficient, and how to take advantage of the benefits of energy self-consumption are some of the key questions this project aims to answer with data and evidence. The goal is to provide verified, useful, and practical information so that citizens can make informed decisions about their energy use.
To this end, until May 2024, Maldita.es will publish journalistic articles in Maldito Clima addressing these topics. It will also broadcast live programs on Twitch, featuring real-time conversations with experts, and release videos on TikTok to make these issues accessible to wider audiences. The articles will include the following note: “This content has been produced using the independent editorial methodology of Maldita.es and supported by Próxima Energía.”
All content produced as part of this project will follow exclusively the editorial criteria and methodology of Maldita.es, consulting expert sources and relying on scientific evidence to clearly explain the energy-related topics that generate the most questions.
To guarantee its commitments to neutrality, transparency, and clear and honest publication of corrections, as a signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and a verified member of EFCSN, Maldita.es will not use sources related to Próxima Energía in any content produced with this collaboration.
