Throughout October, the participants attended online training sessions before traveling to Navamorcuende, Toledo, from the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, and Madrid. The main goal of the program was to help young people understand the characteristics of disinformation and its consequences, why hoaxes spread, and the key tools to identify them.

The program was carried out in collaboration with Cibercorresponsales, a project by the Plataforma de Infancia launched in 2010 that promotes youth participation through a safe space where young people can amplify their own voices. On the Cibercorresponsales blog network, one of the camp participants shared her experience: “it’s a different way of learning and making lots of friends. The camp lasted three days, but in those few days we discovered a whole new world.” In this post, she wrote about what she learned during the gathering.
