The project will include the development and testing of a shared platform and database of fact-checks and articles produced by the participating organisations. This is an artificial intelligence–based tool that will allow the public to access verified content related to climate disinformation. In addition, the project will establish an alert system to identify viral campaigns and cross-border climate disinformation narratives.

What will Maldita.es do?

Maldita.es  will contribute by feeding the database repository with up-to-date content related to climate disinformation. It will also co-author one of the project’s four reports, together with Pagella Politica/FACTA (Italy) and Ellinika Hoaxes (Greece), using the data available in the shared database.

Who is part of the Climate Facts Europe consortium?

The Climate Facts Europe consortium is made up of 24 organisations that are members of the EFCSN and produce fact-checks and other climate-related content.

Who funds the project?

The EFCSN will be responsible for funding each of the organisations participating in this project.
