La Fundación Maldita.es takes part in the Resilient Citizens project (Ciudadanía Resiliente), funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by the Federación Valenciana de Municipios y Provincias. The project aims to strengthen community preparedness for climate emergencies by addressing the impact of disinformation and promoting access to reliable, practical and locally adapted information.
The project will run for two years and will offer practical and accessible training, both online and through in-person activities, aimed at the general public and at people working with communities in Spain, Croatia and Greece. The work will focus on three main areas: prevention and sustainability; response and resilience; and trustworthy communication.

What will Fundación Maldita.es contribute?
Fundación Maldita.es will contribute to the project through needs research and the development of tools and capacities to ensure citizens’ access to trustworthy information and the identification of disinformation, especially during climate emergencies.
In addition, Maldita.es will be responsible for planning an accessible and sustainable communication strategy for the project, with the aim of ensuring that as many people as possible are aware of the tools that will be made available.
How much funding will Fundación Maldita.es receive?
Resilient Citizens is a project co-funded with €250,000 by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education programme (KA220-ADU). Fundación Maldita.es will receive €45,000 to carry out the activities described over a two-year period.
