The system combines innovative technological tools with different workflow approaches to tackle disinformation, especially campaigns that emerge in crisis situations and are related to climate crises, gender and migration. Maldita.es and Servimedia will distribute verified content through a multi-format system to maximise the reach of debunks.
FAST will strengthen Maldita.es’ capacity to address disinformation even before it goes viral on social media and, together with Servimedia, will increase the reach of verified information in traditional media outlets.
This project is one of the eight funded by EMIF in six European countries that applied to the call “Boosting Fact-checking Activities in Europe”. The approved projects address multiple communities and are based in the United Kingdom, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, France and the Czech Republic.
