Maldita.es and JCDecaux have reached an agreement to use 5,000 street advertising spaces in more than 55 municipalities in Spain in a campaign to raise awareness about the incorrect use of masks.
The campaign has been designed by the ‘Yo, Doctor’ malditos’ team, doctors and cartoonists, who donate their superpowers to Maldita.es in the form of cartoons to warn about medical concerns.
At Maldita.es, we have spent 5 months dedicated to fighting disinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic and disseminating scientific information in multiple formats online, television, and radio. This partnership with JCDecaux, in which the company provides advertising spaces for free and voluntarily, is part of the efforts to provide verified information so that the population can make informed decisions.
This partnership was facilitated by the Ashoka Foundation, of which Clara Jiménez Cruz has been a fellow as a social entrepreneur since 2019.
In addition to the campaign that will be installed from the week of June 16th by JCDecaux staff across Spain, you can also read some recommendations on the correct use of masks to stay protected from the virus in these links:
