Maldito Dato, GO! Award for Civil Society from the Diputación de Valencia for bringing the Transparency Law closer to citizens

Maldito Dato has won the award for Difusión del Gobierno Abierto en Medios y Redes Sociales at the 3rd edition of the GO! Awards for Civil Society, granted by the Diputación de Valencia, for its journalistic work promoting the right of access to public information, the Transparency Law, and encouraging its use by citizens.

The jury that awarded the prize is made up of:

  • Antoni Francesc Gaspar Ramos, President of the Diputación de Valencia.
  • Rosa Pérez Garijo, Regional Minister for Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality of the Diputación de Valencia.
  • Mentxu Balaguer Pastor, Deputy Delegate for Open Government and Participation of the Diputación de Valencia.
  • Ricardo García Macho, President of the Council for Transparency and Good Governance of the Valencian Community.
  • Ricard Martínez Martínez, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Valencia.
  • Magdalena B. Ramírez Olmos, Head of the Transparency, Open Government and Participation Service of the Diputación de Valencia.

In the Civil Society category, the Observatorio de Gobernanza, Transparencia y RSC and Fundación Horta SUD CV were also recognised.

In the Research category, the award in the transparency track was granted to María Dolores Montero Caro, and in the participation track to Jorge Castellanos Claramunt.

This is the third edition of the GO! Awards, which aim to recognise and highlight the work of individuals and organisations in the fields of research, outreach, application development and the promotion of Open Government culture.
