Maldita.es Foundation will be part of the AI@EUElections project, led by the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN) with the support of Meta, with which it will be able to improve its knowledge and provide tools to citizens to identify disinformation generated by intelligence artificial (AI) and digitally altered during the 2024 European Elections. Maldita.es will receive specialized training from experts and will be part of an educational content distribution campaign.
The main objective of this project is to train members of the EFCSN, of which Maldita.es has been a verified member since July 2023 . The project will also serve to define standards of action to moderate this type of content in view of the European elections.
The EFCSN and its members will work on the production of an informative document that will be translated into 27 official languages on the continent, in order to disseminate the findings and strengthen the fight against disinformation throughout the European community. The initiative also includes the launch of a campaign with educational material so that citizens can identify content generated by AI and digitally altered. This campaign will be spread by verified members of the EFCSN who are part of this project, including Maldita.es
