Maldita.es and Twitter join forces to provide all the verified information on the United States elections

Next Tuesday, October 27th, Carlos Hernández-Echevarría (@carlos_hem), coordinator of Public Policy and Institutional Development at Maldita.es and an expert in American politics, will be live on Twitter answering questions posed by people using the hashtag #EleccionesUSAmaldita. We will debunk hoaxes about which you inquire and also clarify doubts about the American electoral system.

At Maldita.es, we are following the electoral campaign of the American elections in our Special US Elections 2020 and we have covered, along with colleagues from Latin American media, the two debates between President Donald Trump and candidate Joe Biden. In addition, on the night of November 3th, we will perform a live coverage of the election night, where we will be vigilant against of the disinformation that may circulate about the results.

Disinformation in such critical elections affects us all. Remember, we need you to reach where we can’t: into WhatsApp groups, into conversations among work colleagues, into family gatherings. Together, it’s harder for them to fool us!
