Maldita.es wins International Fact-Checking Network grant to improve its content distribution strategy

Maldita.es has been selected by the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to receive a grant from the Global Fact Check Fund programme that will allow it to advance its content distribution strategy in other channels.

This project seeks to position the organisation as a reliable source of verified information for other platforms and media in the Spanish-speaking world.  With this grant Maldita.es will facilitate access to verified content for other media, mainly local and regional.

‘Our aim is to extend the reach and impact of verified content beyond our direct audiences,’ explains Carlos Hernández-Echevarría, deputy director of Maldita.es. ‘Through outreach campaigns in collaboration with the media, impact monitoring software and continuous evaluation, we aim to reinforce citizens’ access to verified information and strengthen the presence of fact-checking in the local media.
