Maldito Dato, GO Award! to the civil society of the Provincial Council of Valencia for bringing the Transparency Law closer to citizens

Maldito Dato has won the award for Open Government Dissemination in Media and Social Networks in the 3rd edition of the GO! Awards for civil society, awarded by the Provincial Council of Valencia for his journalistic work promoting the right of access to public information and the Transparency Law, as well as the promotion of its use by citizens.

The jury that awarded him the prize was made up of:

  • Antoni Francesc Gaspar Ramos, President the Provincial Council of Valencia.
  • Rosa Pérez Garijo, Minister of Participation, Transparency, Cooperation and Democratic Quality of the Provincial Council of Valencia.
  • Mentxu Balaguer Pastor, Deputy delegate of Open Government and Participation of the Provincial Council of Valencia.
  • Ricardo García Macho, President of the Council of Transparency and Good Government of the Valencian Community.
  • Ricard Martínez Martínez, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Valencia.
  • Magdalena B. Ramírez Olmos, Head of the Transparency, Open Government and Participation Service of the Valencia Provincial Council.

In the Civil Society category, the Governance, Transparency and CSR Observatory and the Horta SUD CV Foundation have also received awards.

In the research category in the transparency modality the award was awarded to María Dolores Montero Caro and in the participation modality to Jorge Castellanos Claramunt.

This is the third edition of the GO! Awards, which aim to recognize and reward the work of individuals and legal entities in the areas of research, dissemination, application development and promotion of the culture of Open Government.
