Maldita.es launches a new project to tackle disinformation about agriculture, food and rural areas

Over the course of one year, through explanatory articles, fact checks and in-depth data-driven reports, the project aims to bring this audience closer to the reality of the agricultural sector, including food production, processing, transport and distribution, environmental conservation, innovation and development in the food sector, efforts to reduce food waste, and information available to consumers.

Based on this content and its subsequent distribution through the Foundation’s social media channels, the educational department of Fundación Maldita.es will also develop educational materials focused on its mission to increase media literacy and promote safer and more responsible information consumption.

Who funds this project and how much funding does Maldita.es receive to carry it out?

Maldita Agricultura: Promoting Reliable Information about Agriculture to Young Spanish Urbanites is a project co-funded (60%) by the European Commission through the IMCAP programme (information measures relating to the Common Agricultural Policy) and will receive €92,387.65.
