Superpowers to fight disinformation
At Maldita.es we cannot imagine our work without our community. We want our collaboration with you to be even closer. Among the malditas and malditos there is a huge amount of vital knowledge needed to debunk hoaxes, because we cannot know everything. We call those specific abilities that each of you has and that we do not have at Maldita “superpowers.”
More than once we have asked for your help to debunk a false story, and some of you are already helping us, for example the creators of “Yo, doctor”, who make comic strips to explain science, or those who help us with the Maldita Ciencia helpdesks. Your superpower is useful for the Maldita community in the fight against disinformation.
That superpower can be your profession or something you are passionate about and know a lot about. Your superpowers can help us debunk hoaxes (in fact, they already do), but from now on you will decide which superpowers you want to share and how, from your maldit@ profile. If you want to share yours, you can already do it.

More and more, media outlets are putting their content behind paywalls and making it accessible only to those who can afford it. But at Maldita.es we believe that, for the fight against disinformation to be effective, information must be accessible to all citizens, regardless of their economic situation, because that is the only way to contribute to a more informed and fair society.
